ABOUT

Spare Kid from Antwerp is the brainchild of three brothers and their childhood buddy. With their previous projects (gepetto and the whales, mountains to move, captain kaiser…) They've rocked some of the biggest Benelux festivals (Pukkelpop/Eurosonic/etc…), snagged MIA nominations, and sold out venues like the Paradiso in Amsterdam and the AB in Brussels. But that was never with their first love: pop-punk.

Now, they're returning to their musical roots, tearing up the stage with influences like Knuckle Puck, Neck Deep, and The Story So Far. For the uninitiated, think Blink-182 but without all the major success. With their debut EP [BLOWSRASPBERRY] they’re proving that their renewed energy and years of craft can coexist, with their sights set on becoming a staple in today’s punk scene.

In their quest to define Spare Kid's sound, the band has teamed up with Daan Nieboer (Moments, 18Miles), who brings his own touch to their production, steering away from their previous collaborations with producers like Brian Joseph (Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens) and Jay Maas (Drug Church, Title Fight). This shift heralds a fresh phase in their musical journey, as they return to the music that first ignited their passion.

Their EP is set to be released on 23.04.2025.
